WHERE TO GO
Never been skiing or riding before? This section will walk you through the steps of getting a lift ticket, picking up rental and where to go for your first lesson.
Step 1 - Buy Your Lift Ticket
The ticket windows are located outside the lodge on the parking lot side. If you have never been skiing or riding before ask about the complimentary 1 hour group new skier/rider lesson available for ages 4 and older.
You will receive a lift ticket and a rental form. Instructions for affixing your lift ticket are located on the back of the ticket.
Step 2 - Pick-Up Rental Equipment
The rental shop is located to the left and down the stairs from the ticket windows. Once inside fill out your rental form completely. Then pick out boots: ski boots are in the front, snowboard boots are in the back of the rental shop. Coin lockers are available to store your shoes.
Once you have your boots, head over to the ski or snowboard pick-up. You will be asked questions such as height, weight, and ability. This lets the technicians adjust the equipment to you.
If you are skiing and want poles, pick those up on the way out and you are ready to go!
Step 3 - Take a Lesson
Once outside on the snow, head over to the right to the ski school bell. This is the lesson meeting area. Lessons are offered every hour on the hour.
During the lesson your instructor will teach you how to turn, stop and use the lifts. Don't be afraid to ask questions; they are here to help you learn.
With your New Skiier / Rider Lesson, you are welcome to stay in the lesson as long as it takes you to learn.
