Perfect North Slopes offers a variety of training, practice, and racing opportunities for skiers of all abilities.
If you are interested in becoming a racer, aspire to improve your skills through the gates, or just want to participate occasionally in a NASTAR race, then we have lesson programs to fit your needs. Learn more by selecting the options below.

Season Race Programs
Perfect North Slopes offers two different race programs to help you get your start into racing, or help make you a little more competitive and faster in the gates. These programs are designed for skiers and boarders that would consider their skills set as intermediate to advanced.
Ages 7+ | Intermediate to Advanced | 5-week coaching

NASTAR Public Racing
NASTAR stands for NAtional STAndard Race and is the largest public grassroots ski racing program in the world.
NASTAR gives recreational racers an opportunity to compete and compare their scores to friends and family regardless of when and where they race using the NASTAR handicap system.
NASTAR runs on Intermission, off the Orange Chair.
NASTAR Racing Times:
Sundays – 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Thursdays – 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

Race Competitions
Throughout the ski and snowboard season at Perfect North Slopes, public races provide the opportunity to compete against other racers from regions throughout the Midwest. Winners are awarded prizes and bragging rights!
Public races are open to anyone. Prior racing experience is recommended. No teaching or coaching happens during these events. NASTAR Season Passes are not eligible for public races
